Maze: A Poem

I always take the same turns and round the same corners,

Could be I'm predictable or maybe just a little boring,

Always waiting for today to be yesterday,

And tomorrow's forever out of reach,

Are the road blocks there to halt me,

Or am I just taking the wrong street?

I always take the same turn and round the same corners,

Could be I'm predictable or maybe just a little...

Here I am again waiting on someone to help me escape,

Or should I keep solitude as my faithful guide?

Light eludes me, truth is too fast, they bend and hide,

Is there an ending or a new beginning?

Am I losing ground or am I close to winning?

I always take the same turns and round the same corners,

Could be I'm predictable or maybe just a little boring.

This is a wonderful poem, Erin. Life often feels like a maze and that we keep making the same mistakes and just going around in circles.

And maybe just a little safe? Sometimes I think we do the same things because we can predict the outcome. Thought provoking poem. Thank you!
