The Mirror and I

Updated on December 13, 2012

Mirror, Mirror on the wall

Why do you always make

Me feel so small?

My love, my life

My joy, my sorrow

You cut my heart like a knife

You always take over

I want to see the person I am

A queen of good intentions

Somebody's love

Somebody's inspiration

But Mirror, Mirror on the wall

Why do you make

me feel so small?

I feel plump and fat

And always inadequate

With wrinkles on my forehead

And skin that’s not so perfect

But my soul as my advocate

And my heart as my guide

I kick the monsters in

The mirror

And what do I see?

A beautiful goddess staring back at me!

      Hi Tamik.

You see what you see but sometimes our mind plays little tricks on us.

In the end when you've chased the monsters away you see the real you and in your case you saw a beautiful Goddess staring back at you.

      Take care Tamik.

...And the beautiful goddess is YOU! I loved it, Tami!

"Mirror, mirror on the wall" reminds me of 'Snow White and the seven dwarfs'. How interesting! Voted up ;D
