Memories of my beloved mother
Memories of my beloved Mother
My mother was a perfect embodiment of love, a precious gift from God & was loved & treasured by her five children. She returned to God on the 27th of April this year & though we know she is safe with God, we miss her very much & grieve her loss.
Mother possessed a strong personality & bravely faced the storms of life. Despite any circumstances, she was always cheerful & giving, totally committed & dedicated to us. Her love for us was very special & unconditional & she made every effort to keep us happy & protected & constantly endeavored to give us the best -nothing short of the best. We spent happy & fun-filled days with her. There were times of disappointment, desperation, heartbreak, times when she felt let down, but she continued to teach us the values of life with courage & determination & her prayers & faith paid off.
When we were kids, she spent quality time with us.Despite her busy schedule she read to us Bible stories & stories with a moral. She had a story to narrate for every incident. She played with us, joked with us & cooked the best food we could ever have eaten. She was truly a perfect mother & wife, a great homemaker. We enjoyed every moment with her. She was our Best Friend & now we live with her memories & remember all the good values she instilled in us. Her love kindness hospitality & cheerful disposition made her a favourite among all her relatives friends & neighbours.
At the age of 88 mother left for her heavenly abode. By God's grace she was not bedridden or sick.Unfortunately her kidneys failed & she was unable to recover. On admission to the hospital we were informed of her critical condition. In spite of that she put up a bold front. Her blood pressure was dropping & she developed multi organ failure. She was put on life support & though she was conscious she was heavily sedated. The doctors had given up hope for her survival & we were storming Heaven for a miracle. But God had His plan & He needed her up there in Heaven.
We gathered around our beloved mother's hospital bed in the EICU & talked to her about how much she meant to us. We whispered to her our deep appreciation for the unconditional love & moral support she had always given us. We prayed with her & sang to her the songs she sang to us when we were kids. We expressed our thanks & sincere gratitude. She seemed so peaceful & calm. It was a precious bonding experience for us & we tearfully watched her fade away as her heart beat turned to zero.
We miss our mother so much but we know that she passed on peacefully & painlessly to be with God. We said goodbye to our dearest precious mother who meant the world to us.
