Memories Of Stow Lake (poem)
Remember the day we spent on Stow Lake
Just music of you brought warmth to the day
And mood in your eyes left little to say
So soft we did float on love’s gentle wake
-
Stow Lake’s placid pallet water so clear
Drew dreams of enchantment as we held tight
So fragrant a breeze made passions alight
The world beyond you would soon disappear
-
And wonder of wishes Stow Lake made true
As whispers and secrets were loosed on waves
A timeless forever finds what it craves
And all that remained were heartbeats of you
-
We once had a dream we couldn’t apply
So day on Stow Lake in sleep it would die
