Mend your manners, my love!

Updated on February 25, 2015

How do I devise

a devious scheme

to devour

your adamant heart

that is

devoted to none,

you

who prove

a diamond in the rough

as far as love

is concerned

and

for whom

a rock cannot be harder?

Flout not

the rule of true love -

‘love and be loved’!

Let not my persistence

fluster you anymore;

Flush you now?

Nay,

Blush to redd’n your cheeks

and not my heart

for

in your denial

bleeds my love,

your halcyon charm

calms

ev’n a turbulent mind;

mine eyes

glare dehydrated

afore my blood coagulates;

nod in assentment quick,

my danger dear!

      Love your poem from your title to the ending. "Bleeds my love"? Interesting.
