Mental Eclipse

Updated on January 15, 2012

Rising dropping waxing waning ecliptic
nighttime regrets under streaking slivers
ferocious creatures lie awake here
await the helpless ones to stumble
under moonlit watch we fight to death
beneath red crest we fight to live

all the colors of darkest rainbows
all the embers of silver-white pyres
all the memories and memoirs of ages

pertaining to celestial things
in the nature of wanting dreams
in the midst of lacking, broken wings
over the edge of reasoning

the sun the moon the stars the sky
the things I see when I close my eyes
the things I wish I could ignite
and watch them burn a thousand times

my blood burns gold like melted alchemy
lava-hot and coursing through me

await the silence between the verses
silent pause, the mind coerces

holy moment come and went
thoughtless bliss without consent

Signs of a true poet/dreamer/creator of enchanting and mysterious verse, you never cease to amaze my poetic young friend. Your mind works overtime and brings up magnificent work. One day you will be known by many, keep writing, keep connecting. Your fame is around the corner, great minds come forth when least expecting it. Be yourself always first, the rest will take care of itself. Voted up and awesome.

The mind of a natural writer. When you least expect it, that seems to be its calling. Look for it and it hides. Enjoy and appreciate your talent.

No planning whatsoever, Ardie. It all just comes from nothing, randomly, anytime it wants to. Last night, this one came to me as I was going to bed, so I had to write it.

      Thank you :]

Where does it come from? How do your ideas flow from your mind to the paper? Do you stew on a poem for a while or do the words simply flow without much planning? Amazing as usual, all I'm saying.
