Messenger of Love

Updated on March 27, 2011

Messenger of Love

Gently you knock on my door

You mutter a thing or two

But I can never hear clearly

The whispers that come from you

I open the door for you to enter

I get only traces of your aroma

Is it that all you have to say

Can wait for another day?

Deep within my soul

I long to see your face

And although I’ve never touched you

I long for your embrace

Next time I hope you’ll just enter

Walk in as though you’ve already knocked

For the messages you’ve been sending

Dwell in doors that need not be locked
