Michelle the Roving Reporter Meets Nell Rose
Our Lovely Nell
MIchelle meets Nell
After getting off the plane in London Michelle Anderson Roving Reporter from the Bloody Herald, was excited about meeting Nell Rose, from Marlow Buckinghamshire England which is a small village right on the river Thames approx. 30 miles from London
Nell promised she would pick her up and take out to the sites.
But first she was hungry; before she could find something to eat she looked up and saw the talented and creative Nell Rose.
She had no idea what was in store for her.
Wow, Nell was so striking, Michelle was impressed.
“Nell, it is so good to meet you! What do you have planned for me for us? I am so excited girlfriend.”
Michelle grapped her hand and laughing yelled “Come on Michelle, I will show you, we are going to have a great time.”

Michelle knew she was up for anything and she felt frisky.
“Michelle you are just in time for the Olympics!”
“Oh wow, yes I would love to go to the Olympics!”
Michelle couldn’t contain her excitement, when Nell grabbed her hand and stepped into a phone booth that reminded her Doctor No. It was a time machine. Wow, Nell knew how to fly!
But first one of Nell’s favorite bands:
Off they went to the Naked Olympics.
Michelle eyes were wild looking. She knew she felt frisky but this was way too much! She hoped Frank her dad didn’t find out!
“Michelle, we are in Greece at the Olympic games which were a religious festival in honor of Zeus. All the men that participated were naked. There were no women that competed. I thought you would enjoy this.”
Has to hurt!
After turning red, Michelle was so amazed. What else could they do?
It was like Nell read her mind.
“Come on Michelle we have a lot of traveling to do!”
Wow the Ugliest Woman
Nell took her to meet the World’s Ugliest Woman.
“Michelle, meet Julia Pastrana, the nicest shortest ugliest lady you will want to meet. We even got to see Julia's baby.
Next we were in Tibet - Burma border
The Padaung Tribe loved their neck rings. My mouth was hanging open. We went from naked bodies to a tribe that loves neck rings.
Nell told her that an adult woman can wear as many as 25 rings around her neck. Stretching her neck, it looked painful to her.
“Nell this looks so great I really want to interview you, can we rest awhile?” Laughing Michelle was really having a good time but she was still hungry.
Nell's home town
After hugging Michelle, Nell led her to a small café right beside of a sculpture.
This was taken yesterday in the park just over the road from me! Some clever sculpture!
Eating some lunch Michelle had to admit she was having a fabulous time.
“Nell tell me about yourself where were you born?”
“I was born in Marlow Buckinghamshire England which is a small village right on the river Thames approx. 30 miles from London. When I got married we moved to Maidenhead, about 5 miles further out. We lived in a caravan for a few years, and then moved to High Wycombe, then back to Marlow. I was so pleased to be back!”
“Nell this is a beautiful town, telephone booth and all!”
“I thought you would like the telephone booth. Let me tell you some more.”
“Oh yes Nell, go ahead.”
“The town or village used to be a small sleepy place, everybody knew everyone else, but then in the 80s lots of rich people realized that we had a gorgeous river and decided to move in. Sports people such as the England football team train there, along with the Rugby team and lots of famous rowers that were in the Olympics, our most famous one being Steve Redgrave six times gold medalist. We have known him for years as he is a local lad.
The town itself consists of one main high street, and a huge park for people to visit. More houses are being built all the time so it’s not so much a village now, but a small town. But we do always win the Best Village award for flowers, views and so on.
“Nell, tell me about your writing, why do you like it so much?”
“Michelle, I started writing when I was about five years old! I remember writing in a school book about my favorite subject at the time, dinosaurs! My brother was into Astronomy, so he wrote about that too. We used to sit outside in the garden in the evenings watching the stars through a telescope, and then scribbling it all down. Not that usual for a five year old! lol!”
“Wow Nell that is amazing my friend. You were only five years old? No wonder you are so creative.”
“Nell where do you get your inspiration from?”
“I tend to get an idea after watching something on TV, or even standing in a queue in the shops listening in to conversations!
I can't wait to get back and start scribbling! Maybe a magazine will mention something that I just have to look into and then I can't stop reading about it and then comes the hub!
“Nell, who inspires you, who are your favorite authors?”
“I just love Diana Gabaldon. She has written a series of books about time travel, love and war in 18th Century Scotland. it’s amazing stuff. I can't stop reading it, it draws me in. I also love P.C. Cast, an author who writes great vampire stories, Goddess love stories and other spooky stuff. I also read Dean Koontz.”
“I love writing about psychic things, reincarnation and so on. I have been psychic all my life, which is strange considering I love science and don't believe things unless they are in front of me! But the facts over the years have proved to me that there are such things as psychic phenomenon, especially precognition. I love my history and archaeology too though. “
“Wow Nell, this is all amazing. Have you written any books? If you have, tell us all about it.”
“I recently wrote my first eBook which has sold 20 copies so far. It’s a true story about my husband. It mainly talks about how I coped when I found out he wanted to be a woman! My second eBook is just going to be written, or re written, as it’s a full novel I wrote back in the 80s. I wrote it on an old electric typewriter! lol! I sent it off to be published, got rejected once and headed for the drawer in the front room where it stayed there for over twenty years! The story is about reincarnation, love, and time travel set in 1349 at the time of the black plague that swept over Europe.”
“Nell, that is truely amazing. Tell me more. Who are your favorite hubbers?”
“My favorite hubs are the ones that really make me laugh. I recently wrote a hub about all the funny guys on hub pages, which includes Terryetoombs and billybuc among others. They are so funny. I also love Kittythedreamers hubs as she writes about ghosts, witches and all my favorite subjects!”
“Wow these are some great hubs Nell. Tell me more”
“I am not really working on anything else at the moment, I just like to write hubs, occasionally write a blog, but mainly editing my new eBook. I have been a bit lazy recently due to the hot weather! lol!”
“Nell tell me about your writing style.”
“Writing style? Ooh! Um! lol! Not sure really, I try to be serious when writing about a serious subject such as health hubs, or historical stuff, but I think my main writing style is just me talking and writing as I talk. For example, if I write a true life hub it’s easy to get my personality across because I just write like I talk, but serious stuff has to be 'told to behave'! lol! In other words, Nell cut the chat and get on with it'! “
“Nell, I agree with you. Give some advice to new writers on the hub!”
“I think the advice I would give new writers is to just be you. Your personality is the thing that makes the hub come alive. By trying to write about something that you have no interest in will show up in your work. How can anybody be enthusiastic about your writing if you don't like what you write? All writing courses will tell you that you must write about what you know. This isn't always that easy especially if you are trying to write about various subjects, but the main thing is that you have a little bit of interest in it. For example, if you break your leg then you know about that! Or your car gets stolen, what to do? etc. But I think the most important thing is, ask yourself, are you a writer? Have you always loved doing it? If not, if you are only writing to earn money, then give up now. Because you will get fed up with it, and it will just waste your time. Write for you and your readers, money comes second and is a great bonus.
“Nell, how true and how wise you are! Tell me about something personal about you.”
“I share a house with my ex-husband, I know, pretty strange! But it’s a very long story. I lost my mum and dad over ten years ago, my aunt passed away five years ago and there is only me, my brother and my son left out of the whole family. My son lives with his girlfriend a few miles away, and my brother is bipolar so he needs my constant support. I think that’s the reason why I stay in the same house as my husband. We support each other as friends. In fact now we are not married we get on better as there is no jealousy. We are like friends who share a Flat. He moved away for a while, but I was sick with a kidney problem so he came back and stayed. He forgets to move away again! lol!”
“Wow I think that is amazing. I wish my ex and I were still friends. Tell me about your favorite bands.”
“Now you’re talking! lol! My favorite bands are
"This is an excellent band Nell."
“This is beautiful Nell. You got to love these Hard Rock Bands”
Another one of Nell’s favorites!
“Anything really heavy I love! There's nothing better than coming home and turning up the stereo full blast to listen to Night Wishor, Metalica! it’s so soothing! haha!”
“Nell what is your favorite thing in the world to do?”
“My favorite thing in the whole world is to sit on a beach on a sunny day, chill out, and have a large Cocktail drink in my hand, preferably served by a biker with long black hair, a Harley Davidson and eyes for only me! Haha. I wish!”
“Hey Nell that’s my wish too, LOl”
We ended the interview, when we stepped back in the telephone booth. Off we went back to England, to the airport.
“Nell I had the best time, thank you for showing me all over the world.. LOl. You are simply amazing.”
