Nobody But Me (Micro-Poem No. 5)

Nobody knows you

Like I know you.

Nobody loves you

Like I love you.

Nobody needs you

Like I need you.

Nobody wants you

Like I want you.

Nobody but me

Knows you.

You are

My credit card pin.

The Lazy Traveler (Micro-Poem No. 6)

By plane, by train, by bus, or car

I love to travel near and far.

Lovely photos of the sights,

Ocean scenes, and city lights.

Meeting locals, sampling food,

Mountain hiking, swimming nude.

Through Europe, Asia, and USA,

To different countries every day.

"Getaway" is my favorite show,

It takes me where I'd love to go.

Wow, I'm blown away....so many great comments in such a short space of time....and you wouldn't believe how hard I tried to come up with an idea for this one. It just kind of came to me all of a sudden. the whole purpose of these micro-poems is to make others laugh, or at least crack a grin.

      Thank you:

      Jodah,

What a great setup. I love it when I am surprised and do not see it coming. I can think I have the pin memorized, and even write it down somewhere, but then I will not use the ATM for awhile and can't find where I wrote down the pin. Thus, the bank tellers know when I walk through the door, chances are I need them to send me a new pin once more.

      Kim,

Thanks for reading another of my micro-poems, the whole aim of these is to have the surprise ending, and I think the pics help with this. I have had problems memorising my pins as well, now i usually put the pin in my mobile/cell phone disguised as a phone number. That seems to work for me if it's a number I haven't been able to choose myself.

      great idea--

I keep thinking I should write down the #s I have in the phone. If I lost the phone, there would be very few #s I would be able to remember.

Starting to sound like I have major memory issues. : - )

Perhaps, I just get distracted easily. Like all of these V+

Thanks Nell. I love writing this series, and although the poems are short it's not easy to come up with the surprise endings. I desperately want to write another but having trouble with an idea. Glad it gave you a smile.

Ho, Ho, Ho! Here I am, reading away and getting totally lost up in romance - and then...

Terrific turn of events (in the readers mind) and how I love this surprise ending. Fantastic!
