John values the use of humour and enjoys writing and reading limericks and jokes. He is a fan of Monty Python, Mr Bean, Black Books etc.

My Dog Jack

I have a dog

His name is Jack.

I throw the ball

He brings it back.

Cats love chasing

Mice and rats,

Jack prefers

To chase dem cats.

To get his food

He'll beg and sit.

When I take him walking

He'll stop and...wag his tail.

Man's Best Friend

Who doesn't love dogs, right? Well, maybe cat lovers. But, hey all that unconditional love and desire to please does leave you feeling good. I have three dogs (used to be four), and they have all been rescued, strays, or ending a good home. I can't imagine life with out them. I hope you enjoyed this light-hearted poem and videos.

Don't be sorry Frank. I 'm glad the concept is popular. As they are short and quick to read I thought they maybe as long as I could make them funny.

Love the non-rhyme on the end. I agree the dog is very good looking and should be featured at a Royal Show.

Oh, to have a dog once again.

Love is where I would begin.

I could watch it pounce adoringly --

From the time it weighed an ounce.

Hey, thanks for reading colorfulone, you are first to visit this hub for over a year. I don't know how I could live without my dogs. They are family.
