Midnight Musing: A Poem
Do you hear me in the night air?
Do you see me standing out there?
Staring down at city lights so bright
While you gaze up at pinpoints of light
Does the moon speak to you like it does to me?
Haunting minds and souls with its quiet mystery
Or are you asleep awakened to a world of dreams?
Where imagination and reverie burst at your mind's seams
I wish I was there to hold you in my arms
To see your bright eyes and keep you from harm
Instead I'll stand out here all alone
Until my heart is near you, resting at home.
