Mirrors: A Poem

Updated on February 3, 2014
Source

I see my face in the lake like a mirror,

Reflecting my visage as if I've never seen it before,

But am I the only one that can see me inside?

I wonder as I touch my face on the water,

And a ripple goes out to the other side,

Reaching out to where you are,

But you don't even notice,

You only see your own reflection,

So, you'll never see mine.

Love this one. As Theatre girl said, you express such lovely imagery in so few words. Well done...a little sad too.
