Miss Springs " Seedy " Side.....

Updated on March 20, 2013

Aahh...Spring Loves = " wildflowers "...

We are NOT.. 'Love Childs "..we have proper names...
We are NOT.. 'Love Childs "..we have proper names... | Source

The " Four Seasons " not just a musical group....

Miss Spring arrived quite early today...

She brought with her some rain..Hooray...

Her job description is to assure...

That all the gardens will endure...

All the habitants needed...

And even the seeded....

Her first assignment of her duties..

Will be to match up all the cuties..

Like Azaleas , Iris, Pansies and more...

a Rose with a Rose...and even more...

A home for everything, even Anthills...

Right next to the bright yellow Daffodils...

However even the flowers have rebels who seek,

Pleasures that are.. that of the weak...

And sometimes it is beyond Miss Springs grasp..

That “ new” faces show up...with no names..Alas !

You hear them in whispers..when the wind blows threw the grass...

They are the “ love childs” produced by the rebels you see...

they are called “ Wildflowers “ and picked by both you and me...

But, it’s not here where the story ends...

Cause even Miss Spring has a “ seedy “ side my friends...

And as the months pass...she too changes..

Sometimes even exchanges..

And sells herself out..what a bummer..

She gets “ hotter “ and changes her name...to "Summer "

kj, our weather doesn't seem to know what to do, it is freezing in the morning, warm in the afternoon with snow or rain, and then freezing again. Gotta love that New England weather! Scarlett Harlett? Now I know I can't wait for the sequel.

This one is cute. I don't care much for all the rain Spring brings because it makes everything soggy and muddy :) but the warmth is very welcome. Can't wait to see what you do with Summer.....

Summer arrives when mother nature presents the fruits of her spring labor-so beautifully delineated. Thank you.

Love the wildflower message - just beautiful - nice to have spring - not for

us though - here comes autumn - and then - winter. As you state - everything changes -

Have you ever read any of the gardening books written by horticulturist Felder Rushing or listened to him on public radio? (Several years ago he had a program teamed with a 'natural gardener' known as Dr. Dirt.) Felder's a Mississippian, a bit unorthodox, looks like an aging hippie, and his own personal garden contains areas much as you describe your own garden. He even has a colored bottle tree. Here's the link to his website with many photos and his blog. I think you will like Felder. He's fascinating.

JayeWisdom...Glad you loved my poem..funny..but my garden houses in a manicured way ALL the weeds and wildflowers of our state..There is not one cultured flower ( recognized by a Garden Club) in my yard..I even intermingle veggies and believe it or not I always get compliments, and have many yard fixtures ( flags/gnomes/birdbaths/feeders/colored bottles/painted stones/the ever popular Florida Flamingo )thanks for visiting...

That is so lovely and cheery kj! I am just longing for spring now, and it is so lovely to see colours again in the stores. You are right, we do need the rain, but only at night, and then the next day should be blue skies and sunshine. Funny, Mother Nature has never demonstrated much skill at this! Voted up and beautiful.
