Missing You Like Never Before

Updated on November 5, 2016

I'm a writer, a poet, a dreamer. Born and raised in New York City. I live in the suburbs of Riga, Latvia with my hubby, Martin & cat, Sid.

The letter she was writing,

was just like the one,

she had tried to write,

a hundred times before.

Should of thought,

what would happen,

when she walked out the door.

There were so many bridges,

she had burned behind her,

always searching,

for the love her heart sought.

When she met him,

right away it seemed,

like it was love,

that shined in his eyes.

But like so many times before,

something was lacking,

something she couldn’t quite understand.

The longer she stayed,

the more in love he fell,

but unfortunately he could tell,

that her heart was not there.

Before too long had passed,

before it might be too late,

she told him she had to leave

and she saw that he began to grieve.

No begging, no words of love,

would hold her,

so sadly he let her go.

When time had passed,

it was only then that she realized,

it was him that she missed,

it was his love that had made her whole again.

So now she was willing,

to tell him the truth,

to tell him that she loved him

and hoped that he would feel that way too.

No matter how she tried,

the words just wouldn’t come,

every letter lay crumbled

and torn on the floor,

How she longed to tell him,

she loved him like no one ever before,

that she missed him

and wished she had never walked out the door.

When the doorbell rang,

with a sigh she arose,

there was a miracle before her,

he was there with roses

and love light glowing.

He’d found her,

never wanted to let her go,

his thoughts all around her

and he had missed her so.

The waiting was over,

the beauty of love awaited,

she was glad to respond,

with kisses so very true.

I'm so happy it worked out for them. Perhaps now she will learn to let the words flow.

That old cliché seems appropriate here, " You never miss the water till the well goes dry. " Very beautiful indeed!

So very beautiful! When there is mystic ... a little magic, things become so ... unspoken ... only the Heart speaks. Sometimes one has to go away to re-awaken the Light that was always there.

Charming, soft and soothing music. Quite sentimental.
