Moments of Light

By Tony DeLorger © 2011

Moments of profound enlightenment often seem so fleeting, as their reality is quickly woven into the fabric of normality. What first trembles the earth, a moment later is but a memory in the shadow of newer truth. Learning is never static but in a constant state of evolution, our minds assimilating and moving on at often incredible rates.

The truth imbues us with a thirst for further knowledge and a chosen path ensues. So easily we take for granted that which moves us initially. Assimilation does not always mean a sound and lasting knowledge. Truth needs nurturing not just a quick acceptance. We so often accept something superficially but look no further and it becomes a lost thought, a truth within a shell.

Moments of clarity do not always inspire our lives without us imbibing the truths with which we are exposed. These fundamental truths need exploring and understanding fully to become a part of us. Once within our souls mind our expressions are forever influenced by those truths as we embrace wisdom and a broader perspective.

By far the most difficult truths to accept are those about us, those realities so often suppressed because it is too much to face or change. The fear of change and having to face the flaws within can be overwhelming, but if we don’t face them and become whole, we will forever be a fraction of what we could have been. These flaws can limit our lives in dramatic ways and for our own good we must accept our inadequacies and work toward resolution.

Moments of light,

imbue my mind,

entice my core to respond,

to the answers,

my dreams awaken in me.

Their hold is firm,

their promise complete,

my soul enriched

by the clarity.

I am grown,

by their substance,

their truth holds me,

fast, solid, profoundly strong.

Fears subside in their wake,

and I am whole,

my expression of life,

defined, true.

A mantra in the original sense of the term. Light to dream to understanding. A preface that is both warning and promise. Good thing there is an awesome button.

You are right Tony we must work towards our inadequacies and look at inner self, you are right that we take it for granted what moves us initially,we must investigate deep into the matter before we take it as the truth...your hub is really enlightening one.
