Moments Across The Sky (poem)

Updated on May 30, 2013

Those golden moments spread across the sky

Those lasting looks then shared by you and I

Forever’s wonders world could not deny

Forever had to wait for our goodbye

Each kiss would spark another dream come true

We shared a fairytale then known by few

We peered out windows rainbows would shine through

Each beat of a heart the other felt too

We were the music raining from the sky

Whose days brought delight and tears but a few

And time had no meaning until we were through

Not even a wish would whisper goodbye

But meaning of life its fate must come true

There was no exception for you and I

Those shadows in mirrors will not deny

Each pleasure and pain the other felt too

Then came the moment of the kiss goodbye

The love story’s end which tears can’t deny

Forever still wonders for you and I

In golden moments spread across the sky

A deeply sad love story. Why must it be---the harder we love---the more

      pain we feel?

      A beautiful write, Martin.

I didn't want this love story to end! This is the kind of love that you are not envious of, but simply appreciated and admired. This swept me away. Beautiful!!!
