Moments Refreshing (poem)

Updated on February 27, 2015

Moments refreshing

Kisses from a past

Could it really be so

To dance in the dreams

Of stars yet to be

-

Moments refreshing

Held ever after

Of people now changed

Reminders of hope

In wonders begun

-

Moments refreshing

Every new season

Heartbeats of blessings

Lingering laughter

Were darkness should be

-

And there in the starlight

Are the echoes of footsteps

Whispers scenting the wind

He’s coming he’s coming

-

As excited memories

Rush to their windows

Of once more used to be

He’s coming he’s coming

-

Moments refreshing

The reason for tears

Which calls them return

To share in the Joy

Which caused this refrain

-

Moments refreshing

Days gone by, but never forgotten, as there will always be a trigger to transport us to those days once again.

Here I sit among minds, obviously sharper than my own.

I thought this poem might have an ethereal quality, and the words,

"He's coming", might refer to the holy one returning. But, not all the "he's" are capitalized.

Or, it could be loved ones in heaven excited to see a loved one coming

      to join them.

I need help on this one, Martin.

      Thanks,

      DJ.

Martin this is a real gem. So sincere, I do not exaggerate. This one I have saved for other days and other moods.

      Voted up and all.

      Graham.
