Monarchs and a wish ~ a poem
I do not know whether I was then a man dreaming I was a butterfly, or whether I am now a butterfly dreaming I am a man.
Fluttering flights of glitters
Across the shiny meadow
And valleys of whispering winds
Till the foothills of wistfulness
Wings of dreams monarch
We carry with us...
From there to here
Till then to now
World of divine splendour
Touch of satin fervour
Bright yellow to ebony black
In colonies we fly crossways....!!!
Colours captivated within
Soft petals of myriad open
Blooming smiles in many hued
In search of nectar evermore...
Cascades of tepid air and we fly...
Back to where the history repeats
Sanctuaries of Oyamels
Miles and miles of skies
Free flow and Oh’ so liberating wills!!!
And then we stroke again
Warmth of wild cottons and milkweeds
A lifetime...short and sweet...
We leave our trace to next of keen
And we know they will again fly away
In search of Oyamels....
Orbit of colours splendid...
Butterfly touch to nature vivid
Bohemian soul to sweeten the world a lill more
But with tears in eyes..
We see the fall in sanctuaries...and
We cry within...
At lose of our homes..our hopes...
Plant a Fir, few wild cottons and milkweeds
And help us beatify HIS nature
We just be...
We do not harm you, mankind....!!!
Please make us a safe home..
With our sanctuaries gone
We will also be lost forever...
Do not make us wither...
We covet the nectar of The LORD to rise
Just a beautiful world....
With colors countless to the fore....
Help us sweeten the world for you all ahead...
For a better tomorrow to awake.
PS: a lill about the Monarchs!
Monarchs are the beautiful variety of butterflies mainly famous for its migration from US to Mexico and back. The Sanctuaries of Oyamel trees in Mexico city are famed for its timely visit by these awesome butterflies. End of October, they fly 3100 mils across to five different sanctuaries of Mexico for hibernating. Mid-March they get ready to return to their home to US territory. They are found in California also. There are lots of sites from where detailed can be known about the spectacular butterflies.
“Butterflies are self propelled flowers.”
