Money Got You Down? Money Poems to Aid the Soul.

Updated on November 30, 2011

Money Got You Down? Money Poems to Aid the Soul.

Sometimes when dealing with the money blues, all you can do is write about them. Over the past few years, I have compiled a list of poems devoted to the wonderful green. They really helped sort out the confusion...by adding more. One day these poems will not matter. Might as well put them out there so they can see some light. Here are 5 poems that I wrote way back in the day.

This Thing They Call Money

--------------------------------------

Bartering like that of the past
it is the way we transfer our hats
Friend communicate through the relations with money
This is the nectar this is how we provide honey
So what is this thing they call money that we hold on a pedestal
How does it really mean everything? What does it matter at all?
The devil's dinero
Sometimes a hero
But sometimes the way a civilization grows
In the fields that have disappeared it shows
So what is this thing they call money that we hold on a pedestal
How does it really mean everything? What does it matter at all?
Your house, car, that pickle you put in a jar
Money is how you were able to get that far
People in dismay don't delay you will have your way
The multi-million dollar lottery is yours today
Status is on your shoulders
You will see it when you get older and older
You watch will need to shine
You will need to drink the finest wine
So what is this thing they call money that we hold on a pedestal
How does it really mean everything? What does it matter at all?
Exchange the plastic that holds the funds
All your friends travel you are on the run
Without money there is none of this
You will have everything you will not be the one missed
And all the people of the world agree
with the gold ability
Money Money Money
Freedom Sanity and More Money
The land is by the man
Who has the big financial plan
So what is this thing they call money that we hold on a pedestal
How does it really mean everything? What does it matter at all?
Depression and exhaustion
Is this thing the salvation or the real starvation?
I am sold and I am on the plate
I hold my beliefs and any debate
I have in myself against this kind
This troublesome money mind
So what is this thing they call money that we hold on a pedestal
How does it really mean everything? What does it matter at all?
Are you successful?
Are you in the stressful?
Corporation and desperation
Is this thing the salvation or the real starvation?
Love me for my big bank account
And my money will definitely help you out
So what is this thing they call money that we hold on a pedestal
How does it really mean everything? What does it matter at all?
With our thoughts on hold so we can pay the bills
The major money helps one get very ill
Nothing spent is nothing gained
Now everyday it is constant rain
Money can be abolished and you laugh
Money cannot be abolished and you laugh
But...
So what is this thing they call money that we hold on a pedestal
How does it really mean everything? What does it matter at all?
The trouble is actually on us
The one we truly trust
The one that pays for that fur coat
The one that sold you out for that boat
Your financial numbers decide who you are
In life depressed and not going far
Love me for my big bank account
And my money will definitely help you out
So what is this thing they call money that we hold on a pedestal
How does it really mean everything? What does it matter at all?
Are you successful?
Are you in the stressful?
Corporation and desperation
Is this thing the salvation or the real starvation?
Love me for my big bank account
And my money will definitely help you out
So what is this thing they call money that we hold on a pedestal
How does it really mean everything? What does it matter at all?
With our thoughts on hold so we can pay the bills
The major money helps one get very ill
Nothing spent is nothing gained
Now everyday it is constant rain
Money can be abolished and you laugh
Money cannot be abolished and you laugh
But...
Divided
We fall
Power and greed
So what is this thing they call money that we hold on a pedestal
How does it really mean everything? What does it matter at all?
Divided
We fall
Money

Bye Life
-----------
No funds?
No fun.

Drop down for the cash
---------------------------------

We have turned on each other,
and drop down for the cash,
Killing everyone,
In the hot sun,
and drop down for the cash,
Lost of virtue,
Lost our personal belief,
No end in sight,
and drop down for the cash,
who can you trust,
Not even that lust,
and drop down for the cash,
so try and succeed,
make it to the top
and drop down for the cash,
grow as an individual,
and drop down for the cash,
lose yourself
and drop down for the cash,
drop down for the cash,
say good bye to all of mother earth,
and drop down for the cash,
rejected, ostracized
and drop down for the cash,
Is this what you want?
Is this the way of your life?
What is life?
drop down for the cash.

Confused Money Fools
--------------------------------

They say money can buy happiness
But they also say money cannot buy any kind of happiness
They say money can buy a happy family
Like Frad Kitt and Frangelina Bolie
They say money cannot buy the family
Like the lesser few
And for the hungry girl that needs the "life"
They say money can by her
They also say the money cannot buy the ideal "wife"
So money happy
money sad
She is so very mad
What do we learn through all this black and white
slide on down the thin gray line
They say
They say
To think
who are they?
They stink
Money movement by the confused money fools

Let Us Blame The Bill
-----------------------------

It is money's fault
Without a doubt in my mind
Take it out on him or on her for not paying on time no more
Take the life from him or her then put their brains on the floor
Now wide spread and on the surface running around with a grenade
For the politics and there big accounts we will save
not the country
just the economy
Oh no I have lost all my money
and it is all its own fault
Dreams of being a millionaire
Without a care
and have no friends where did they go
Don't bother to ask because no one knows
But it is not my fault is it money you see
It is always the others and never me.
Let us blame the bill.

Well, that's it. You can leave now. Now!
