Monochrome Stratocaster

Updated on June 18, 2013

I've got a monochrome stratocaster,

and a crazy itch to play,

if i turn it up the sound will blast ya,

and you won't hear a word i say.

Six strings of musical thunder,

ripping throuth the marshall cabinet,

please ignore it if I make a blunder,

sure as hell some chords I will forget.

Rock an roll is what I need to bring,

so I'll crank it up to number eleven,

the windows rattle when I bend the string,

it's only then do I feel like I'm in heaven.

I've got a mean guitar,

six strings of steel,

I was told I'd go far,

by playing the way that I feel.

It's just one guitar it'll blow you away,

heavy metal music which feeds the soul,

that rock an roll thrash I just have to sway,

not even love can make me feel whole.

Thanks RQ I've got a strat hanging on my wall I've just bought a distortion pedal and a chrome slide so I can experiment with some sound. I really like Joe Bonamassa he plays a mean blues guitar, and his song Sloe Gin is me to a "T"

Just had to check out this one man, with that pic of the Queen of all guitars; you have a real good knack of unfolding such emotion, laced with great humour( love the retro Spinal Tap reference ). Randy Rhoads was one of my faves.

Hope life treats you well in Brum, and thanks for a cool rhyme, and I sincerely hope that you find that missing piece of love to make things feel whole.

Very cool music hub. My daughter is an aspiring musician and plays show pretty often. It certainly brings her much joy to do what she loves.
