Sleight of Hand

Updated on December 15, 2011

Ladies and gentleman

Boys and girls

May I present the Masked Magician

Reknowned throughout the world

He is grandly standing

In the center of the stage

Performing all his sleights of hand

A mystic and a sage

Lo, he can quite convince you

Beyond a reasonable doubt

What appears to be out is in

And what is in is out

But as you watch his dazzling show

You can't help but ask

Who is it really

Who stands behind his mask

When this moment comes to you

The stage will quickly dim

Surprise! The tricks will tumble and fail

He becomes The Comedian

Then all goes still and dark

You'll find yourself alone

If you dare to touch your face you'll find

His mask your own

And then you'll know his secret

The Greatest Slight revealed

To fool the one who's watching

And convince you it is real
