Morbid Poetry

Updated on November 3, 2015

You took my heart
As it beat its steady drum in yours
Felt you mangle it
With your words
Soft spoken poison dripped from your tongue
Your words were the icicle in my breast
Danced all over it with cleats
That felt like knives
I'm broken
As you linger in my heart
It's a special place for you
Deep and entwined in veins
In vessles
Through blood
The drum causes a ringing in your ears
Makes them bleed to hear my voice one more time
Tender kisses left painfully behind
Staring into depths
Clutching onto your beauty
Muffled by the screams of your heart caught in mine
You cry out to me
In a language I don't understand

Loss of blood
Motivation has clotted
Sickness growing within me
Weak all over
Conscious of my illness
Unaware of the state I'm in
That how I'm living
Is worth dying for
Worth every bone crushing pain
Every drop of sweat
Cold sweat filling my eyes
Blinding my view
Seeing what I need
But too far to touch
No matter how hard I reach
Shaking fearful
Understanding the familiar chills

Spoken True

Feel it ache
Hear it speak
Taste its voice
On your lips
Hard as gravel
Salty touch of your fingers on my skin
Divided yet every piece fits just right
It's alright
I lick fire that crumbles into ashes on the floor
Purity has taken over
Blood rushes to our heads
Swirling round like a turntable
Flashes of light before us
Envelopes every kiss that moves
Blood droplets from fingertips untouched
Tears on lips longing to be kissed
Pure hearts drenched with our sin
Know what we like
Know it so well
Baking in the steamy sun
Awakened by the moon
Dancing in its stars
The night that has always been ours
Quiet to the touch
Whispers love so loud the earth shakes
Love I'll be taking
With an old life replacing
Spoken true
With me
Within you

Thanks. Sorry. I thought I had responded to your comment this. An emptiness always lingers. I was empty and sorrowful when I wrote. I was at the epitome of pain. I've had a rough two years. I'll say that much. Thank you so much for your comment.

So much aguish and tender torment - bitterly enjoyable reading and I'm left with an emptiness but unable to say exactly why.....
