More Poems From The Heart - a Collection of Love Poems
Is Love Undervalued?
This article is a collection of love poems that I wrote to my wife. We all need inspiration for our writing, and love is one of those things that offers probably more inspiration for poets, storytellers and song writers than almost any other subject. That said, I have found that most of my articles containing love poetry are among my lowest scorers. Even my micro-poems which are lucky if they have 50 or 60 words have higher scores than this.
Does HubPages have some aversion to "LOVE"? It is hard to imagine that they do but you never know. I could understand if religion or politics scored low because they polarise people, but then they tend to attract debate and get a lot of traffic so that isn't likely.
Anyway, adding this extra text may at least help to increase this article’s rating from the current 61.. it will be interesting to see. Thank you for reading, and I would be interesting to read your thoughts on this site’s treatment of "love."
The Ageless Flower
I love you more with every breath,
With every minute passed.
My love grows deeper by the hour,
By days, by weeks, by months.
With each year that speeds on by,
And age creeps up so fast.
It seems that you're immune from time,
Your beauty's never lost.
I think that in some future time,
Say twenty years from now,
I'll gaze upon a face so young
It reminds me of a flower.
A flower that's just begun to bloom,
So beautiful and proud
That stands so bright amongst the weeds,
Like sunshine through a cloud.
My Sweet One
Without you my world would die,
No crystal sea, no sunny sky.
My love, Sweetheart, is burning bright,
Throughout the day and during night.
To work, I leave just after dawn,
But my heart's with you all through the morn.
Then when my day of work is done,
I hurry home to My Sweet One.

You
When you move my eyes are traped,
I cannot look away.
You seem to float just like a leaf
On a breezy Summer's day.
When you speak, a bluebird sings,
Your voice is my delight.
A smile from you is like a star,
It brightens up my life.
Your face invades my dreams at night,
And when we are apart,
Cupid with his little bow
Shoots arrows through my heart.
To cradle you within my arms
Is something I desire.
To kiss your lips so soft and sweet
Ignites my dormant fire.
