More Nonsense Poems for Kids

This is a set of short nonsense poems about some famous 'Aussie Animals' that I wrote for my grandkids.

Hope you enjoy reading them too.

The Koala

The Koala

The koala is a cuddly bear

with cute round ears and soft grey hair

He eats the gum leaves with his paws

and hangs on tightly with his claws

The Wombat

The wombat is a chunky chap

He waddles along, he's not in a flap

His hair is course, his legs are short

He's got a big head - which is good for thought

Naughty Possums

Possums - Naughty Ones

There are possums dancing in my roof

What's that you say? ... You need some proof

The cunning creatures leap about

Sometimes they screech - I want therm out!

They've got the bush to run and play

Not in my roof! - now go away!
