Morning Girl

Updated on March 20, 2012

Who Are You Kidding

When the alarm goes off she does not budge

Then with an instant sensation runs up to go ??

Then stays up because it is to hard to fall back to sleep again

Blocking out the sun with dark curtains was a plan so well implemented

You sleep the day away

The hours pass like seconds

Your body lifeless and still

No snoring it takes energy and you must conserve

Dreaming is an artform that you practice effortlessly

Replacing run with rest

Exercise with breathing so deeply

Things to do with Sleeping Beauty truely a classic

Work with imagination where work is eliminated and abolished

Eating with blankets that give you comfort and warmth

Friends with two pillows that lift you up

Time to get honey

I am up

Fifteen minutes later

Time to get up

I'm up ..I'm up

Sure you are

What a wonderful way to bring on all the thrills of the world

As you drag your body and your feet some how follow

Into the shower to open your eyes as if they were sealed shut

Anoher day filled with excitement you can't wait

Joy to the world

Joy 56 Sure I reread my hub again and maybe it could use a little revision. Two hubs I will have to read them.Thanx for sharing.daisyfowrs Everything you said is true.I think if I hint to it people can easily understand where I am heading. No pun intended. As you get older people frequent the bathroom more and more.I guess that is our body's way of getting us to move real fast.Thanx to you both.

Why take out the pee bit? Peeing is vulgar? I thought it was natural and, quite frankly, necessary. I'm going to go pee now. I just woke up and it is one of the first things I do when I wake up...PEE.

I can relate to 'Morning Girl.' My family has always teased me that I'm up at the crack of noon. I really enjoyed your poem and hope the one your writing about doesn't get 'morning girl', mad. LOL I hit every button.

Sleep? Was this a description of sleep? I'm doing something wrong. Sleep, defined - stare at ceiling and think; Occasionally look at clock.
