What's Ahead Today?
Question of the day
What's on my mind? The provided space is always too short to fully answer that "social media" question. I could start with Friends, Family, Faith, Food, Frost (and that just lists some of the "F" thoughts! ) Here's to a great day of Service, Self-discipline, Saving, and So Forth!
Now that you have each of those thoughts on YOUR mind too, you are already on track for a great day!
Why "Friends" before "Family"? To my way of thinking friends are family. Family is the one I was born into or marry into, but friends are folks I share a mutual choice with. Few friends are instantaneous, like birth and love at first sight. In most cases it is great advice to "give them up as slowly as you made them." Really care for them and it is more likely that they may continue to care for us.
Why "Faith" before "Food"? I'm trying to remember who gives my daily bread....and doesn't lead me into the temptation to overeat!
Why include "Frost" today? Rocky Mountain mornings, like so many American locales in October, can still look out on a green garden that one good night of frost will signal "enough until next year." That thought just signals to me that the realities of each day are starting to press in upon the thought processes.
Why "Service" before "Self-discipline"? The objective of service to others focuses the self-discipline that is needed to include doing a good deed (and deeds) daily. I can provide such service(s), if I have the self-discipline to not waste my time on truly "empty moments" today.
"Savings" have many daily applications only one of which is being a good steward of our funds, for saving our body, saving our strength, saving our soul, and saving friends/family/country/world the best ways possible are all something we share a real responsibility for.
All the rest of my thoughts today are the inevitable "and So Forths" of each day; but they can be viewed more clearly and prioritized better, when I know what I want to have on my mind today.
