Most Valuable Care

Updated on February 7, 2017

Care is a most human trait, we each do define,

the truest spirit so found inside, of every heart,

Placed there within each smallest child of God,

as we are everyone, so blessed, of it, all a part.

Is so well Magnified, ten thousand times, or more,

Every act of kindness, those to be so well refined,

A gift of The Most High, its worth, its highest value,

Received by us, at birth, why we're each designed.

A mother holds her newborn child, cooing softly,

As all the while, she keeps it safe, to her close,

A father, his undying love, working on a crutch,

While never giving up, so does mean so much.

The gift of each special smile, we share with all,

No matter our pain that we may feel all the while.

Care, the one tribute that is meant for all to share,

Around this whole world, it so spans every mile.

The care of those so harmed of foreign climes,

is our jobs as stewards, each to so justly heed,

A prompt response to the homeless, all hungry,

the helping of the lame, meet their every need.

Were we all to be without at least our daily bread,

us then to try to survive, to live in times of dread?

Would others rush in to help in our time of distress,

Return good deeds, fulfill roles, our case to be pled?

My answer, a resounding yes, is a universal trait we all possess,

Human nature to save all brothers and sisters, to them so bless.

Ever tomorrow guided by what we all do today, this in every way,

The least of life's requirements, significant, by what we do, to say.

Truth. so many times, people do good deeds and say, "I don't know why I did it." Your poem explains it: because of the "universal trait we all possess."

Whonu, again, I LOVE the photos. You've captured so much beauty in the sky. It seems you truly care. On that note, I enjoyed your poem as well. The different levels of care shared by different types of people is a soft reminder of what's important in life. Thanks for sharing and caring :)
