Moth to a flame

Updated on February 5, 2013

Moth to a Flame

Over the years, we have had our problems.

Trust and faith both questioned in our selves and our lives.

We have opened many new doors,

just to find our way back to one another.

Our days are memorable,

the feelings the same.

Once was just like has grown impeccably more

to that of Love and knowing who we are.

Together, we are one.

Like a moth to flame, we are drawn to one another.

A flame that has never gone out and never will.

The butterflies remain each time we are close.

We understand one another

our hearts beat as one.

That is the kind of love one always hopes for in life

but few rarely feel or see it.

I am glad that I have found my way back,

back to you my love.

This is such a lovely poem. I can really feel your longing. I especially enjoyed how you used love as a proper noun; it really helped to drive home the whole theme of the poem.
