Mother Nature's Fashion Show ( a Haiku )

Updated on January 15, 2015
Mother nature's white curtain is revealed...
Mother nature's white curtain is revealed...
Her white robe is spread...

In Spring, she wears flowers in her hair...

In warm nights, no worry or care...

In Summer, her greens to share...
In Summer, her greens to share...

Mother Nature comes,

Garbed in Winters regalia,

Robes of white, she spreads,

Her fond paraphernalia.

In the Spring's sunshine,

She wears Daisies in her hair.

In Chiffon, she's fair,

With lovely scents, fills the air.

Summer's shades to spare,

Her style so chick, in its flair.

In shades of green, fair,

Across valleys and hills, rare.

As Autumn arrives,

Her reds and golds, so thrives.

Vibrant colors, spread,

Accent her beautiful head.

Nature's fond parade,

Like a fashion show cascade.

Beautiful mother,

Her most lovely wares displayed.

In Autumn, wears her reds and golds...

I love this, whonu. I never related to Mother Nature's glory to fashion shows, but that's exactly what she puts on for us. Beautiful thoughts!

Very creative angle. I think most of us long for green grass right about now....nicely done my friend.

Love how you show the season changes and capture the feeling in your poem. I adore and miss the seasons now that I'm in North Carolina. I grew up in Vermont and I miss watching all those changes very much. Thank you.

Four haiku poems, one for each season of the year. Lovely. I'm puzzled, though, to know how you knew I was going to comment - but glad you thought it was nice.
