Mourning of Life's Past

Updated on June 10, 2011

I remember when I use to party all night long.

Listening and drinking to my favorite song.

How I use to dance and be nothing but free.

And when I cared about no one but just me.

Sometimes I mourn for that part of LIfe.

Before I became a mother and someone's wife.

Yes, I said it and I have no shame.

I was young once before I got a new last name.

No, don't get me wrong.

I love my husband and our marriage is strong.

I love my boys as they are the apples of my eye.

And for them I would surely die.

But sometimes I mourn for that part of my life.

Before I became a mother and someone's wife.
