Moustache Doesn't Make a Man: a Poem

Moustache doesn't make a man

and neither does a lack of it

so to get yourself a fan

you've got to have that true grit.

For, whether a huge moustache or thin

bushy one or hardly seen

with a goatee or smooth chin

or one that makes you look mean

none of that will help you win.

It is man's charisma with strong vibes

not an advertised hairy face

and that's all what describes

a manly man of any race.

There are those who try to hide

their true nature soft and tame

masking their vulnerable side

out of pride, or out of shame.

But then again moustache may mean

just a decoration on man's face

although never to be seen

as a proof of manly grace.

Fun poem, but true. I've been married to my husband for nearly 33 years and have never seen him without his mustache. I don't want to either because he wouldn't look right without it. The beard was another story. I didn't like it on him.

What a fun poem. I don't really look good with a mustache so its good to know that I don't need it to be a man.
