Mr. Clarinet

Updated on August 1, 2012

An article that i came across, was about a man named Don Cunningham, He lives in San Francisco and and took me back to the Jazz and big band days of the smokey clubs. He is known as Mr Clarinet. I wrote this ode to Mr. Clarinet.

Mr. Clarinet..... the Don of class

I heard the music..as I walked past.

I tipped his jar....and he struck a pose

To describe him now ...would take such prose.

In my mind ....I could see his band....

In a crowded smokey.....

kind of Dixieland.

He loves his music ...

this we know

just look in his eyes....

you'll see it is so.

I just love the photo of this gentleman and the clarinet. Love the poem and the imagery it gives you when you read the verses. Voted up.

Mmmmmm...love his passion! All he wants to do is play - no matter where or for whom! Clean, pure - and a role model many could learn from. Another gem, Michael. Good find!

A nice hub and a tribute to the Dixieland clarinet man. I know he would be honored. Good work.
