My Arm My Arm What Happened To My Arm
A Stiff Look
As I climb out of bed only to find my arm is numb
I must of slept wrong
What a wonderful sleep it was
I was running and jumping in the field
Like years ago when I was small
I could keep going for hours and never have to stop
Seeing my friends laugh was a common sight
We could play all summer and we did it until it became night
Work was never a thought
Only doing what children should do
Enjoying are youth and finding and creating lots of fun
The weather never held us back
It gave us only more meaning
The rain oh beautiful rain where we can splash our feet and feel the wetness
Then there is the wind where we can bring out our kites and fly them out of sight
How about that warm sun that makes you sweat
Then we would race to the beach and jump in the ice cold Atlantic ocean
What about the winter snow ?
Piled so high we tumbled in
Hours and hours of building snowmen and throwing snow balls
Sledding down the biggest hill
What a thrill
Now that brings us to sleet
Where we covered up and hid our eyes
Running for cover waiting for it to stop
So what a surprise to feel so strange
Where luckily I can stretch and before long
Go back to feeling good again
No tension
No pain
Just as if I was a kid again
