My Broken Wings Mended

Feeling lost in the shadowed valley

where prayers go unanswered,

clinging to a hard existence

that rejects what you are.

The colors seem so dark

and wine has lost it's taste

living has become mundane

and love lost it's spark.

Look up, be still, breathe

no man is taller than the one

that stands on his knees

asking God for a break.

Let the sun go down on pain

it will rise up again tomorrow

with the hope of a new day,

where there is no more sorrow.

I will see you rise up, stronger

build tomorrows inside our heart

where the past is no longer

and pain can’t tear you apart..

      ananceleste,

Wow! A great poem here. Moving and very touching.

This is an excellent piece of writing. To be totally-honest, it can easily be described as amazing.

I loved every word. Graphics were superb. This hub was helpful, informative and I found it very interesting.

Voted up and all the choices because you deserve it.

I love poetry, mostly abstract/prose. I want you to check out a sample on my hubs: "Dreams of an Old Dreamer," and let me know what you think.

You have such a gift for writing. Keep writing no matter what.

      Sincerely,

      Kenneth Avery, Hamilton, Alabama

Voted up and beautiful. The best part is as we mend God is there to lend us a hand.
