My Christmas Sweet, O paragon of Festivals!

O Flame! You who are encircled by star lights

And vivacious streams of Beauty.

Your myriad eloquent hymnal voices,

Fascinates my core with their enchanting power.

Mesmerised by Your pulsing passion,

I dance with a cherubic joy,

Knowable only beyond speech,

Deep within the profundity of the Soul.

Delight, O my Radiance-Delight, how spirited

Is the merriment of Your children!

Gifts, jollity, food and amusement,

Embrace their Lives,

As they praise your name in joyful tears,

Embedded upon their gleeful Spirit.

Sweet nativity! Lord Jesus, wrapped in swaddling clothes

And lying in a manger,

Thy resplendent Victory,

Has immersed me in its sweet embrace;

Your Light Illuminate my Heart, with a spectacle of rainbows.

Heavenly angels dance on Your bosum, as a pageantry

Of Shepherds and Magi’s exalt your name;

Following the pathway of a luminous star.

Come, Sweet Jesus! Captivate this Being

With Your self-amorous effulgence,

Casting away this veil of night.

Infatuate all Christian Souls in their diaspora;

Let them await the mince pies; the Christmas puddings,

So as to drink from Your supernal salmon-tinted wine.

Undrape their eyes, to see the inner gifts of Santa Claus:

The opulence of Mary’s haven,

So that they continue to dance

With an ecstatic joy unspoken,

Within the magnificence and greatness of the Soul.

      You've topped off this beautiful poem of resplendent allusions to the meaning of Christmas with one of my favorite Christmas songs. When my son was an infant, I'd sing three songs to him as I rocked him to sleep. At Christmas time this was always on the top of the list.

      You've honored yet another hubber with your heartfelt poetry, Manatita.

      Merry Christmas to all!

      Hello Manatita. I love this, and I'm sure you knew I would. It is beautiful. It has really lifted my spirits. Your words are breathtaking, and I love the part of being encircled by starlight. I actually just finished a poem about staring at the moon and stars. It's a very simplistic poem.

      I would like to apologize to you for not seeing this latest symphony of words from you. I have been really ill, and I know I have missed a lot. I've been trying to come back and catch up.

      Again, I apologize, because this is just beautiful, and as always, helped me be a happier person today. God Bless You Manatita! I thank you from the bottom of my heart! :)

      Hi My Dear Ruby.

      I read it today. They asked for Christmas poems, and so I wrote it for that. I stole a little from the format of my Divali poem and added much of the rest. Went down very well, considering the rest were silly little funny ones on food and drink.

      Thank you so much! Much Love.
