My Dead Lover Kissed Me Welcome
I stood there rooted in death as my hands trembled
I rushed to the sink to wash my face, mirror reflection, the devil I resembled
The nylon cord I disposed of
No evidence will be left for the cops
Her lifeless body laid there, clad in that dirty little red dress she deceived me in
How could she do such a heart breaking thing?
Scotch on the rocks calmed me as I flopped in the stinking old couch
She deserved it all, she deserved what she got
She broke my heart in pieces when she loved that chap
I gave her everything, I gave her my whole life
All she gave me back in return was lies and perfume scent from another at nights
Our one year old crying for her mom in the other room
But on the smell of the dead would greet her soon
Now reality sinks in, “Oh My God what have I done?”
I have taken her life, the breath she once breathe is gone
“Johnny, come out Johnny. It’s the cops, we know what you did.
I jumped up shocked, looking around for someplace to hid
How did they know? How could they know?
Questions without answers did not matter now, they were fast and I was just too slow.
I ran to the room and grabbed my kid and held the a pistol to her little head
“I want outta here cops, if anyone stops me little Hailey is dead.”
“I want an unmarked car filled with gas.”
“I want you to ensure me I will get a free pass”
“Good Lord man, you just murdered your lover.”
“Now you are terrorizing your daughter.”
“Put the child down and turn yourself in.”
The electric chair or injection, either way will redeem you from sin.
I looked at my little baby and broke down in tears
When did I become this horrid monster over the years?
I kissed Hailey on the forehead and gave her a final goodbye
Placed the gun to my head and made my brain fly
Then as my body laid their leaking on the floor
My dead lover appeared waving in the air like waters on the shore
She came up to me, kissed me on the forehead and whispered, “Welcome”
Then a dark hole opened under my feet, fire danced, demons pranced as Lucifer pulled me down
She laughed as we both began to fell
With the devil’s hand clutching our ankles, dragging us down to hell.
