My Earthen Plow

Updated on January 14, 2014

An empty soul... begats a lonely heart..

searching for that place where I fit within,

was it a forgotten part...

or a tiny whim

So I looked... to the Lord

for just a whisper of thought

in the world... so wide,

as I tried to crawl somewhere..

deep down inside

While free to rhyme... my mind does speak

words and lines... that come to a peak

thoughts they float, like stars above

fill my soul.. with your undying love

Words come and go, so let me tell you now,

and sow the seeds deep...with my earthen plow,

I want to watch your eyes...

when you wrap me tight,

I want kiss your lips...

when the time is right,

I want to lay with you ..

in the red.... moonlights glow,

I want to make love to you...

very soft and slow

I like the rhythm of this romantic poem. I feel it starts lonely and sad but ends with a hope of this love you seek. You are a master of romance my friend. Hope all is well.

My sweet Naomi Novella... please tell me twice

for your words of poetry ... they flow so nice

As the diamonds that sparkle ..tonight in your eyes

for to find such a treasure... would be the greatest prize,

of a songbird that sings... with soft melodies

I write for you pearls... hoping only to please

      Wow. I am speechless. ____________________

but only for a moment....ha, ha, ha!

      Take my breath away...

      take my words...

      for I am in awe...

      of the beauty I've heard.

      Your poem, it moves me

      like a sparkling gem...

      poured out for my eyes

as a gift to dive in.

No,...it is more like a soft tiny bird...

      one that can sing...

songs to God and be heard.

      But only the angels above

and the stars in the night

      could string pearls of words

in a poem... like you write.

      Beautiful poem Michael!
