My Empty Reflection

Updated on February 22, 2013

"Who are you?" I said.

"I am you." she whispered.

"Well, I don't know you." I replied.

Cast into a midnight lagoon
Above the glow of the full moon
Is my own empty reflection
Living in the soulless of her own.

Staring into this vast unknown
Is a dark beauty I call my own
That love has broken and left alone
To face the apocalypse he had shown.

The echoes of bittersweet pawn
On this so-called love destiny’s loan
Haunted my memories to its zone
To wait for the breaking dawn.

All alone in this midnight lagoon
Lost in crying under the full moon
Staring on my empty reflection
To live again in the soulless of her own.

Hi US. I have read several of your lovely hubs. It seems that you are seeking that certain someone. Please don't be sad, one day he will be there and the sun will shine so brightly in that Midnight Lagoon.

      Voted up.

      Graham.
