My Heart's Well

Updated on March 3, 2011

Sometimes I am a bit gushy.
Perhaps a bit sappy to tell...
but the words that I write are reflective
of waters that fill my heart's well.

Sometimes I feel a bit foolish,
tender-hearted beyond the sublime.
Truth, though it may be too wordy,
That comes from my heart is no crime.

So, forgive me if I am too gushy...
or sappy or foolish, do tell...
but the words that I write are reflective
of the waters that fill my heart's well.

Well Its not often that I become a die hard fan. Yet your work is so sublime, It seems to me one would have to have a heart of stone not to full in love with your poetry.

I like your imagery. I think it's funny that you refernce your heart as a well where as I use a dirt path. I always find it interesting to see how people see themseleves..

      good job :)

arthur, thanks so much! I needed that...

Epi,You are so dear to me! I have to chuckle because I only know how to speak or write from my heart, but sometimes I think my mind goes MIA!!!It seems like so very long since I have been able to write, that I feel like a bird that has been let out of a cage, who flies in circles cause there are just too many places to go!!!

I just cracked myself up with that little visual...I needed a laugh today!

Rosie, thats probably why I so enjoy your writings and just make me feel so "OK" and appreciated! That is a huge gift to me!

..well I always say - write from your heart and the mind will follow - and often it's the simple things in life and the way we convey them which is the most rewarding experiences of all - and your poetic experiences are always so rewarding - to me!!
