My Land of Dreams

Updated on March 3, 2011

I've been called a dreamer,

its occurred a time or two…

I love to visit the land of dreams!

I just adore the view!

It is a place where I am Queen

And I can call the shots…

A place of happy endings

Where I create and weave the plots!

It is a realm where rainbows live

And flowers never die…

Where every oyster has a pearl…

And like a bird I fly…

Yes, I've been called a dreamer,

its occurred a time or two…

I love to visit the land of dreams,

And if you’re polite, I’ll invite you!

If they say you're a dreamer than you know you're okay! Dreaming makes things happen. I love the way this flows right on through. Put me on your list of invitees. Voted up.

Thank you for the invite. I've been accused too of being a dreamer to which I now consider a compliment! You touched my soul and I feel inspired!

Well please do invite me. As a diehard dreamer, I have many qualms with the real world and all of the nonsense that goes along with it. Nice poem. Cheers.

That's the funny thing of the land of dreamers, it's always big enough for more - remember, it's the land of no limits and infinite solutions ... not to mention unqualified love!!

I soooo love your poems. I can't stop smiling.

I too have been called a dreamer, but I wonder, isn't it where answers come from.

I hope you invite me to where you are Queen and we can all fly together, my friend.

Oh, and just so you know, I'm still smiling ...

You have a beautful music lyric here! The melody is a cinch. What you have amounts to two fabulous verses, now you need a chorus to bring it all together. Most verses in any song seldom come close to what you have here. Wind Beneath my Wings is the only thing that comes to mind in being as praise worthy as this. IF an eleven were to be awarded , this is it. I'm interested in using this in one of my novels. And I have't even looked at your other 25 HUBS! That's going to change. Make recommendations as to which have the most merit, please. RJ

It's now posted. Thanks for the interest. I'm going to hunt up another song in the next day or so that has a relgious theme called "From Mother with Love."

I'm going to put up a poem called the Sweet Apple Ballad and you'll see the similarity in the way we write.
