My Sad Eyes

Updated on May 1, 2013

My sad eyes, they keep crying,

Down my face slides yet another tear

You are lost to me forever

Or at least that's what I fear.

My heart feels somewhat broken,

Like it will never again be whole

Without you here beside me

I'm an empty body without a soul.

I long to feel your kisses,

And to breathe in the smell of your cologne

To feel your skin as it grazes mine

But instead I find myself alone.

To have your arms encircle me,

Even if only for a day

I'd trade 100 years for a day with you

A steep price I'd willingly pay.

Come for me my lover,

Whisk me away from reality

Cause in your arms & in your heart

Is where I'm designed to be.

I know that you love me too,

That your absence isn't you being mean

Call of duty to country always comes first

For my brave soldier in Army green.

      Dear Becca,

This is absolutely beautiful. I was moved by this poem. Excellent.

I am mostly about abstract/prose. I have a few hubs of this poetry. One I want you to read: "An Old Dreamer's Dream."

And as for your hub. This is an excellent piece of writing. Honestly, I can easily describe it as amazing.

I loved every word. Graphics were superb. This hub was helpful, informative and I found it very interesting.

Voted up and all the choices because you deserve it.

You have such a gift for writing. Keep writing no matter what.
