My Soul Sees (A Poem)

My soul sees

something they don't see-

it sees the inner spin

My soul knows

something they don't know

It takes the inner win

My soul feels

the handcuffs hurt

the moon, the icy grin

My soul speaks

something they don't speak

my soul has a friend

The case is closed

the handcuffs fall

I smile, I step away

What comes next

tomorrow knows

It's sure to be OK
