My Unwanted Heart

Updated on July 6, 2013

I'm standing here all alone
In the midst of a thousand faces I barely knew
Holding my crumpled heart in my bleeding hand
Waiting for the pain to let go.

On those thousand half-hearts
I couldn't find my other half
I cannot fit the other part
I'm so unwanted, I'm so unloved.

I fall down on my knees and cry
Begging anyone to share my pain
But no one desires to love
My unwanted heart again.

      hi unknownspy

I am not much into poetry but I know how you feel. Everyday as I ride my way towards home, I also experience the emotions as you expressed in this poem. Having a love not wanted, experiencing the pain of letting go of that love. And the frustration of finding my other half who would fill the emptiness in my heart. ........I can relate to this, you are truly gifted writer...

Spy - I have been working quite a bit of overtime which is why it has taken me some time to respond to this heart touching, insightful, sad yet beautiful write. Yours is one of my favorite styles of writing and I always look forward to what comes next.

      Keep up the great work.

Well expressed. I, a good looking guy, felt the pain of despair when Arlene left me at 18. Nothing else mattered.

I really enjoyed reading this. Genuine connections are rare and often do not look like they would fit in your puzzle until you have seen them up close.

How sad! I fell the pain and hurt coming from your words. Even thought this is sad, it is beautifully written. My uncle used to say, "There's a lid for every pot." Sometimes it is hard to believe that. Beautiful poem!

So much pain and yearning to be loved. You have painted the picture well with your vivid words. Sad one here. Such a beautiful heart and your heart will be desired soon by the one it has been searching for when you least expect it.

      Voted up +++ and sharing

      God bless, Faith Reaper

Beautiful poem, but I am sure your heart is the most desirable one. And you would definitely find someone, whose heart is as golden as yours.

      Beautiful and touching!

Unknown, a heart as beautiful as yours will always find it's other half. Your writing is as heart wrenching and beautiful as always, and the image says it all. well done.
