My Way Home

My Way Home

By Chuck RitenouR 1-21-2011

verse 1:

I used to dream, when I grew up who I would be.

But now I know the future is something no one can see.

And I've been in love and I've been left all alone

and now all I dream of is finding my way home.

verse 2:

I've been high, so high I thought I'd never come down

I've been in for a penny and I've been in for a pound.

and I've cried for the love that's come and gone

and now all I cry for is to find my way home.

you can never go home, no you can never find your way

when you're always alone hiding from the light of day.

so I live in the shadows and I  rattle my bones

but I can never ever find, never find my way home.

it is a commentary on the line "home is where the heart is" yes it is a sad lyrical message..but only that my friend.

Not finding your way home is a very sad thought and if taken literally scary.
