Divine power

Updated on October 30, 2015

This is a poem i wrote at a time in my life that i truly believe was my finest hour. My intention is simple, just imagine. Rest in peace to my uncle Neal Loper, who was murdered in 1992. My father figure up until that time, a good man in the wrong place at the wrong time with the wrong friends. The first line in my poem is from his book of poems that was later lost in a fire. This was the only line that i could remember, the one that stuck with me. He did not have any children and didn't leave to much of anything but that book. So many nights i would stay awake wishing i still had it to share with the world. I cant shake the feeling that somehow, this one verse is enough.

" Imagination is everything-it is the preview of life's coming attractions "

Albert Einstein

Brainstorming after rain showers

in my finest hour,

there is a higher power

deep down inside me awake.

As I begin to create,

the earth quakes,

trees levitate when my bounds break.

Then my pen begins to spin

composing solar winds.

Moving at the speed of thought

across space and time,

only to find more space and time.

Lets double back to the mind,

it knows what to do by design.

Imagination is divine.

Incredibly vivid powerful poem, Daunte! "trees levitate when my bounds break." Deep. I love your choice of picture, too. I love it!

That was very well noted, writing a poem is not an easy think to do . I thought it to be one of deep thought and imagination. Some time when people write poems it don;t connect or make sense,Yours on the other hand did and did well. Here's a piece of advice keep writing poems ,for one day the right person will read your writing and maybe if your lucky and publish some.

One of the best contemporary poems I've ever read, and I mean that. I loved the rhythm of it as well. This is your calling....
