My Father Taught Me To Fight (limerick)

Updated on December 22, 2012

Whenever I’m challenged to duel

My father once taught me this rule

I recall it still

His faith in my skill

Best run or he’ll kill you you fool

Good one. Best to head for the hills of course depending on the size of the guy confronting you.

Funny. Sometimes it's wise to be a coward.

Ha! Ha! Clearly a dad who was not there for 'back up' but offered the best fatherly advice- 'get outta there small fry'.

      Hi Martin.

First line of defence, is turn and run like hell and fast. Better a live coward then a dead hero, or so I've heard.

      LOL Ghaelach
