Haiku-A-Day with Writing Prompt: Morning Melody
National Poetry Month Challenge
April is National Poetry Month. For the occasion, I have challenged myself to write a haiku-a-day. I challenge you too! It's a great way to start your writing day off, sparking inspiration for other things you are working on.
Each day I will be presenting a writing prompt. Today's prompt is the word "melody." Use the word "melody" in any form in a haiku. You can choose to use the traditional haiku format of 5-7-5 syllables or any other haiku format of your choosing. Keep in mind that haiku generally have a nature theme.

Interpretation of Haiku
This haiku was inspired by all of the beautiful mornings I have woken up to without an alarm clock. Remembering how the rising sun cast rays into my bedroom window and hearing the doves sing their morning melodies. It is one of the most harmonious ways of waking up.
