Nature Boy Tune

Updated on July 12, 2011

I sat and listened to the tune play

As it escaped the brass baroque

Capturing the soul that reflected

Into my blood stream injected

A high like no drug could give

A composition that will forever live

Mesmerized by the elegance blown

Sending a shiver with a fever pitched tone

Tasting its sweet nectar as it evaded

Enlightened the creases that elated

Hypnotized under its casting spell

The story of a “Nature Boy” told well

There is no drug like music. Music is medicine, it transcends boundaries. For you it might be Miles, but for someone else it might be Luther Vandross. Music heals.

Bella that was exceptional, I re-read while listening to that horn. A nice blend of words flowing accompained by that enchanted trumpet.

This is Miles Davis at his best, emotional, stirring and haunting piece. Loved it and your poem I read and digested into my soul as I listened to the echo reverberation of his horn. Sent shivers through my world.

That horn and Mr. Davis indeed give a powerful emotion to the tune. Your poem is an addition to the flow. Great job Bellawritter.
