Nature's Artist ( a poem of inspiration)

Updated on November 14, 2015
Oh masterful genius...
Oh masterful genius...
Your brush creates our daily art...
Your brush creates our daily art...
Majestic artisan on high...
Majestic artisan on high...
Angelic draftsman...masterful engineer...
Angelic draftsman...masterful engineer...
Creative genius of all nature...
Creative genius of all nature...

Over mountain tops, across the wide plains,

This artist paints, and in his design, explains.

In broadest strokes, fond creative swirls,

Amid the high clouds, forming bright pearls.

Portrays each dawning, its colors to reign,

Designs, ever spawning, in the window's pane.

The sunsets, in evening, to be so richly spread,

As in fluffy pillows, it does prepare each bed.

With a powerful brush, in its celestial domain,

Creator of the ages, its grand passion to remain.

On its canvas of the skyways, in murals, all rare,

Every windswept presentation, so extraordinaire.

By evening, each morning, its art a fine delight,

A greeting, ever fleeting, a blessing to our sight.

Hail to thee, oh talented aerialist, master artisan,

Draftsman and engineer, dear wind, our Cezanne.

Nice to read out loud too as it has a catchy rhythm. Love the images. I like to run down at the lake park each morning and your images remind me of it. I go more than I normally would now as there are around 300 geese that congregate there and I am fascinated with all the social things they do. Soon they will head South and I will await their return in the Spring.

I love watching the sky change, especially in the mornings and as the sun begins to set. The colors are amazing.

I love 'talented aerialist' - great choice of words! Wonderful idea too, that the wind paints the sky; how versatile it is too!

      Great poem.
