Nature's Poetry

Updated on November 26, 2015

watching from high

on a hill

overlooking

the bay

hearing as much

as i see

humbled

by nature’s poetry

fan-tailed

like the edge

of an oyster

mushroom

the water pushes

the stones

revealing

more sand

as the sound

rolls on

pushing back

unheard rhythm

easing the thoughts

i have allowed

to get in the way

I enjoy following your hubs. I've never really cared for poetry before, but something about yours draws me in.

Thanks Tony, the photo is of another of my favourite places - Rhossili bay in the Gower Peninsula in Wales. I love that spot overlooking the miles of beach. It's almost impossible not to take an amazing photograph from up there. Love to you to Tony.

Lovely prose, my friend...and so in tune with your musical ear...Looking at the picture of Rhossili Bay I can almost hear the gentle roar of the incoming combers as they strike that pristine beach...Now I'm really missing the ocean...Thanks for sharing this with us...Your friend, Larry

This poem is just about as beautiful as they ever come. I especially liked the idea of waters "pushing back/ the unheard rhythm/ easing the thoughts/ I have allowed/ to get in the way" - BRILLIANT

Your pace here captures the feeling of the waves very well. Nice photo, too.
